Campaign basics

Your First Campaign

Unless you have experience running campaigns with Pollen, your first campaign will help you determine your initial performance benchmarks. As you refine your strategy in future campaigns, you’ll use the data from this first campaign as a benchmark to put your performance into perspective. As you optimize your creative and campaign settings, your goal will be to make incremental improvements on your previous campaign performance.

Targeting the right audience

Simply select the segment(s) that most closely matches the type of product or collection of products you are advertising. Pollen enables you to pinpoint customers based on the specific products they’ve exhibited interest in based on their online browsing behavior.

Designing your ads

Online advertising is part art and part science. As marketers, we work hard to isolate variables of our campaign in order to measure what is driving performance and what is not. The ads you create are a big part of this equation.  In many cases, this is the first time that a prospective customer has interacted with your brand. There are a few things you can do to help your ads stand out from the pack:

  1. Use a hero image
  2. Include a call to action
  3. Include a clear headline
  4. Add your company logo
  5. Add a promo
  6. Maintain brand consistency
